The Deep South Cherokee Keetoowah Tribal Nation is honored to formally announce the appointment of Rev. Dr. Bill Akpinar as Surgeon General of the Nation.
With decades of experience as a distinguished physician, healer, and advocate of integrative and indigenous health practices, Rev. Dr. Akpinar brings a rare blend of scientific expertise and spiritual insight. In this esteemed role, he will oversee the development and implementation of health and wellness protocols for the Nation, including preventive care, holistic medicine, indigenous healing, and public health education.
As Surgeon General, Rev. Dr. Akpinar shall serve as the leading voice on matters of tribal health and wellness, and will advise the Tribal Government on all issues pertaining to the physical, mental, and spiritual health of our citizens.
His commitment to healing and human dignity reflects the sacred values of the Keetoowah people. We are confident that his leadership will uplift our Nation and help preserve the well-being of generations to come.
